Using port 16 (Group 3, plug 4) on the annex. Use /usr/annex/na or the admin command on the annex to set the speed to 57600.

This will configure port 16 to have a speed of 57600.
Connect a modem to port 16 of the annex. The switch settings should be DuuD uuuD
telnet annex1 5016
Once connected send the following string to the modem:
ati9
Verify the return string matches this:
