Wide Angle Camera Lens
I saw this article on using a peep hole as a wide angle lens.
Cheap Home Network Rack
Found this article on making a cheap "rack" out of letter trays. This should work nicley in an attempt to clean up the mess that is my desk.
DIY Wind Turbine
Some simple instructions to bulid your own wind turbine. It does produce AC current (cause it's spinning) so you'd also need some kind of rectifier circuit to make much use of the voltage.
From the digg.com comments, someone mentioned making a larger turbine out of 55 gallon drums, and using car alternators to produce the current.
